Elastomere Release Agent
The plastic release agent A353 Endurance Mold Release by Stoner Molding Solutions is a semi-permanent and fast curing solutions to release all elastomers including EPDM, nitrile, and neoprene. It provides a permanent yet removable, thin-layer, anti-stick mold surface coating for fast, easy part removal from molds.
A353 is formulated as a very long lasting release application for elastomers and a single application will allow multiple molding cycles without any reduction in performance. When the mold eventually begins to stick, often the sticking area alone can be "touched-up" quickly and allow continued molding with minimal production delay.
Release Agent for Elastomer Molding
A353 is internationally applied all over the world and improves the efficiency in molding processes such as injection molding, compression molding, and transfer molding. It is made for various applications and is regarded the best choice release agents for polyethylene and silicone rubber. It works equally as well with polyester and vinyl ester resin systems.
Stoner A353 is developed for tool temperatures of max. 260°C.
Stoner A353 is available as an easy-to-use aerosol spray can, that enables users to efficiently and accurately prepare molds and tools prior to production starts. Due to its leading spray head technology even most challenging areas can be prepared effectively and evenly. Upon request, selected products are also available in different container sizes.
Benefits of Stoner A353:
- Increases efficiency and saves time by helping parts remove quickly and easily from molds.
- Allows multiple releases per single application with a long-lasting anti-stick coating.
- Mold release coating does not transfer to fluoroelastomer compound or does not interfere with compound chemistry of the parts to be released.
- Improves part appearance of molded products, reduces defects caused by sticking and reduces scrap.
- Contains no Class I or Class II Ozone Depleting Substances.
- Contains no chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) or hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) propellants.
- Contains no chlorinated solvents such as 1,1,1 trichloroethane or methylene chloride.
Areas of Application:
- Formulated for the release of molded polyethylene and silicone rubber products
Direction for Use:
- Shake well before using
- Should be applied to a clean mold, free of any previous mold release or other residues.
- Can be applied to either cold or hot molds
- Made for temperatures of max. 260° C
- Hold can 25 to 30 cm from surface to be sprayed
- Apply a thin coating on mold surface for best results
- For difficult release applications, several light coats are recommended
- Over application may cause sticking or surface defects
Storage and Handling:
- Note the security descriptions and application advises in the security data sheets and on the product
- Container is under pressure and must not be punctured or incinerated.
- Container must not be exposed to heat, direct sun light, open fire or sparks.
