PA6 Nylon Blasting Media
SH BLAST PA6 is a nylon blasting abrasive (polyamide PA6) designed for applications within rubber- and plastics as well as automotive and aviation industry. It is the perfect solution for deflashing of thermoset parts. Due to the high elasticity of this thermoset blasting media, its application guarantees an intact surface without any distortion of either surface quality or dimensions. Low friction on the grit ensures dust-free surfaces without costly rework.
SH BLAST PA6 works gently on the surface and does not penetrate into the workpieces as conventional abrasive blasting methods might do. It is well suited for applications with sensitive products and machine parts. For a gentle blasting effect on metallic and non-metallic surfaces, only cellulose-filled thermoset molding compounds are used.
SH BLAST PA6 cleans chrome injection molds, steel or aluminum molds as well as extruder screws and tools. It deburrs die-cast and plastic parts, activates and cleans composite or GRP parts and prepares coatings for plastic products.
SH BLAST PA6 is available as cylindrical granulate in standard sizes
- 0.75 x 0.75 mm
- 1.00 x 1.00 mm
- 1.50 x 1.50 mm.
Cubical blast media can be delivered upon request.
SH BLAST PA6 is applied worldwide successfully in many applications in different branches for and can be used for gentle and effective cleaning and activating surfaces, depainting, deflashing and preparation of surfaces for high quality painting.
It is eco-friendly, reliable and inexpensive. It is extremely clean, easily applicable and can be used several times. It is absolutely nontoxic and it´s storage time is unlimited.
SH BLAST PA6 is suited for applications with dry ice blasting devices.
Benefits of SH BLAST PA6 Blast Media
- Blasting without roughening or deformation of the surface (the media can be adjusted to the object to be blasted
- Very little expenditure of time (because of sharp particles the surfaces are finished very fast particularly if pressure blasting cabinets are used)
- Long endurance because of up to 30 blasting cycles
- Chemically inert, therefore no harm to health or environment
- Very limited sticking of dust at the surfaces because of a very efficient antistatic
- Guaranteed continuously high quality because of strict internal quality management
- Also guaranteed high quality through periodic examination in own and external laboratories

Attention:
When abrasive blasting always pay attention to wearing suitable protective clothing. Use suitable ventilation systems whilst working in enclosures. Only use appropriate abrasive medias for suitable applications and with the correct instructions. Incorrectly used abrasives can cause damage to the surfaces being blasted.
