Antistatic thermoset blasting abrasive
SH BLAST AA V is a thermoset blasting media for applications within plastics or aviation industry. It is made of fully (100%) hardened and granulated acrylic parts. In further workflows it will filtered according to American standard mesh-sizes and moistened with a special anti-static agent.
SH BLAST AA V is particularly suitable for the gentle treatment of sensitive metallic and non-metallic components. It has a gentle impact to surfaces without penetrating them – a big advantage compared to standard abrasive blasting media. In order to ensure this gentle blasting effect only fully hardened thermoset molding compounds filled with cellulose are processed.
SH BLAST AA V cleans and activates steel and chrome injection molds, aluminum molds, extruder screws and tools or composite components before bonding, deburrs die-cast or plastic parts and prepares coatings for plastic products. It is suitable for the shot blasting of soft and thin nonferrous metals and composite parts. SH BLAST AA V does not produce any harshness on soft metals and galvanic coatings with an approx. 10 % higher stripping rate compared to the SH BLAST UA II. The consumption of blasting media is approx. 50 % less than SH BLAST UA II.
SH BLAST AA V have been certified by the U.S. Air Force according to MIL-P-85891 and can be used for cleaning and paint stripping of surfaces in the aircraft industry and the military sector.

Attention:
When abrasive blasting always pay attention to wearing suitable protective clothing. Use suitable ventilation systems whilst working in enclosures. Only use appropriate abrasive medias for suitable applications and with the correct instructions. Incorrectly used abrasives can cause damage to the surfaces being blasted.
