Purging Concentrate for Food Grade applications

RE3000LT is a concentrated purging grade for high temperatures that needs to be mixed with your in-house resin to create individual and cost effective purging compounds. Food Grade Purging Concentrate

This thermoplastic purging compound can be used on Injection Molding, Extrusion, and Blow Molding machines to address degradation, color changeovers, and/or material changes.

Its proprietary formula includes chemical and mechanical properties for high performance cleaning with no fumes. Thermally activated, RE3000LT purges with a softening chemistry to soften polymer structure and lower viscosity of resident resin. Degradation is softened and loosened during the purge, pushed out with the mechanical portion of the purge.

Pellet Form Factor:

The RapidPurge proprietary pellet manufacturing process ensures that the original potency of the compound is preserved for purging.

Shut-down/Start-up:

Excellent shut-down properties clean and prevent degradation, and complement efficient start-ups.

Pre-mixed:

The pre-mixed products include a universal carrier resin, providing the ultimate in convenience and handling.

Concentrates:

Cost-effective pelletized concentrates allow you to customize a purging compound by adding your own carrier resin. To make a universal heat stable purge, mix with a PE or PP at a 50/50 mix ratio of equal or greater viscosity of the resin being purged.

To make a clear resin purge, mix with a PC or clear resin at a 15/85 mix ratio.

Maximum Results:

Temperatures can be raised to maximum level of resident resin allowing for a short soak cycle during purge for highly demanding applications.

Areas of Application:

1. Removing degradation such as carbon and gels
2. Removing plate out of additives and/or colors
3. Changing material viscosities and/or colors
4. Stabilization during shutdown
5. Preventative Maintenance

Restrictions:

We do not recommend mixing any chemical concentrate grade with PVC, Thermoplastic Elastomers, Acetals, Acetate.
