High Performance Pelletizer for the production of Dry Ice Pellets
The dry ice pelletizer DCA PT 50 with its production capacity of 50 kg per hour is ideal for building a smaller dry ice production. Self-made dry ice increases flexibility and versatility, shorter transport times reduce dry ice loss through sublimation and improve dry ice cleaning efficiency and effectiveness. Freshly made dry ice is significantly more powerful and reduces consumption compared to buying dry ice. The Pelletizer is ideal to make dry ice pellets. The optional extruder plates allow a production of pellets with different diameters.

The dry ice pelletizer DCA PT 50 is driven by a powerful hydraulic unit and can be started at the touch of a button. All functions are controlled by a PLC. The automatic control of the oil temperature and the grooving process guarantees a continuous and smooth production immediately after the start of the machine.
Function and Applications
For the DCA PT 50, a CO2 liquid gas supply (13 - 21 bar) and a power supply of 400 V / 50 Hz / 3 Ph + PE (other voltages upon request) are required. The machine is started by pressing a button and all func-tions are controlled by the built-in PLC. Dry ice snow is injected into the snow chamber, pressed and then extruded through a hydraulically driven piston. In less than a minute after the start button is pressed, hard and dense dry ice pellets are produced. To ensure continued, reliable operation of the pelletizer, oil temperature, cycle time, engine overload, CO2 input pressure and hydraulic pressure are always monitored and displayed on the control panel.
Options
The dry ice pelletizer is equipped as standard with an extruder plate for pellets with a diameter of 3 mm. Alternative extruder plates are available for the production of pellets with a diameter of 6 mm, 10 mm and 16 mm pellets.
